"whether or not DC has the best track record, when I watch a DC movie, they often don't feel like Marvel movies and that is very much a good thing."

The DCFU would be in a far, far better state that it's currently in if they felt like Marvel movies.  At present, over half of DCFU's movies don't even feel like good ones.  And that is very much not a good thing.

But would that be a good thing? When was the last time I was actually interested in one of Disney's Marvel movie? Sure, the majority of the time, they are good, enjoyable movies, but Marvel is already pumping out more than enough of that type of movie. There is basically no benefit to another company just making more Marvel movies. There is however, plenty of room for companies to make comic book movies that aren't just Disney's Marvel movies, like virtually everything relating to Batman over the past 30ish years, or even like Fox's X-Men or Sony's Spider Man to a slightly different extent.

The thing comic book movies need the most right now is being different, even if they aren't always good.
