It's funny we aren't even getting a single new Mario Kart for the Switch, but we do get two new Splatoon's...

For me Splatoon 2 was more or less very similar to the original but on a new console with token single player content and new modes for online play.
Extensive single player content was added via DLC that meant nothing as I stopped buying DLC last gen (and now might even profit with the NSO addition).

Splatoon can expand itself a lot in the single player department, still need to play the Octo expansion to see how much they went there, but this third title does seem to have bigger focus on story, at least from previous trailers. For online modes, they still have not shown any new ones, right?

But the single-player seems like another major disappointment, given how little they've shown from it, it implies they don't have much on that front.

Too early to make that judgement call, to me it seems the opposite, they are not showing anything yet to specifically surprise you mZuzek around summer with deep-open-world-single-player-content, they want to make you a fan again
