At first glance it seems ridiculous to attribute a 400%-rise to a mention from Sakurai, but we still talk about only 400 units, so it is possible. Probably millions of japanese watched Sakurai presenting Banjo&Kazooie for Smash and he clearly said everyone should play Banjo on Xbox.
