A Switch Lite is still a Switch. It's not doing anything a standard Switch can't do. |
But Switch Lite can't do things Switch can, like how 3DS can't either, in terms of the hardware.
I realize they are the same platform in today's world, but let's say, while again unlikely, SNY slaps PS4 or PS5 on a phone and it can play some of those games in a downgraded fashion. Do those phone sales count now? I would say they shouldn't, but if it's considered part of the platform, well. You see what I am getting at correct? Like I said before, it's not all that cut an dry, but where does the line get drawn when it comes to differentiating hardware sales?
If Switch and Switch Lite had separate bars like Switch and 3DS now, it wouldn't be brain surgery to add them together if you wanted to look at the sales combined. I guess the question would be are the numbers coming in separately from the get go? If they aren't, then knowing what sales are handheld vs hybrid may not be easy if not next to impossible.
