Didn't know that LA Noire had touch controls.

I just tried Civ VI and it boots up and plays in touchscreen mode.
You can even return to tablet mode if you accidentally add the joycons,
that menu screen pops up, a way to evade it is going back to menu screen and returning to the game.
Some prompts of the game still show controller buttons though.
