The forecast Sony will make for the FY 2019/20 will be telling in this regard. If they forecast a lot fewer sold PS4 they plan no pricecut. If they forecast stable sales they plan a pricecut. Either way, Sony already knows if they wanna do it, although they might be flexible on the concrete date.
