Every argument lead with 'according to Nintendo fans' is inherently wrong, as there is no such thing as a generic Nintendo fan. Nintendo fans are people and people are different. The group of Nintendo fans is per definition the one liking Nintendo games. If they like 3rd-party-games differs strongly from person to person.
By the way, the same is true for 'Playstation fans' and 'Xbox fans'.
