Yeah. Capcom would be fools if they invest that much but expect low sales. Sales on the level of previous entries was the lower bound of useful expectations. I felt at first like it would sell low, but realized my error in thought.

Well there are other ways to have games be profitable these days aside from the initial purchase transaction. Microstransactions can transcend the former. And the fact that PS4/XBO games retail at $60 instead of 3DS $40 are factors to consider for the first few months of shipments, as well as the lower costs of manufacturing discs vs cartridges, etc. But the fact that it sold so well week 1 is just a major plus to all of that.

I wonder if there is a chance that Capcom completely overshipped.

I expect 4,999,999 copies to sit on shelves until the price drops to $19.

Hiku is a salty Switch-fan and Ryng_Tolu a big Nintendo hater then?

Well to be honest that post was a bit sarcastic with the intent of having people @ing me, but no one did.
Though there was some truth to it in that this was what I expected the game to do at worst, which I went over in a previous thread.

Has MonHun World Microtransactions or paid DLC? I'm not aware of any of that, but maybe I missed that news.

Oh, and I didn't realize your post was sarcastic, sorry. My general feeling was that Nintendo- and Sony-fans alike lowballed the expectations, your post was just the first I stumbled upon as proof.

Also I have no idea what @ing means.
