I agree with you. SMO, MK8 and Splatoon are games that are likeable for basically everyone. They are sold to the classical Nintendo-gamer (as seen in the sales on WiiU), but they are also selling to other crowds, if they already decided to go for the platform.
I also noticed what you said about the sales of Just Dance. This is probably the most success for a Just Dance outside the Wii. And the crowd that made Just Dance successful on Wii was brought in by Wii Sports, we don't have something like this on Switch yet. I think there is a lot of potential that can be tapped.
