This would be my first time playing a civ game.
The map seemed really small. It felt really slow...it picked up after a while, but was still pretty slow. The tutorial was pretty bad and didnt provide much help. I would have liked actual speaking. Figuring out how to research stuff took me a little while 
. The tutorial kept telling me to wait for my advisor to say something...which he didnt. I didnt find it overly complicated but i would have appreciated a little more info from the game on what i should be doing.
Once i figured out the basics of what i was doing it wasnt too bad. All considered...i enjoyed it.
