In other news, that DQ has stronger legs on 3DS (4.1% of total sales this week) than on PS4 (3.8% of total) comes as a surprise for me. Usually the older platform with higher install base shows higher initial sales bad worse legs. Strange. So more 3DS-owners held out and bought the game later than PS4-owners.

There are probably more people who bought the PS4 version digitally though.

Indeed, Square already pointed in that direction. But I talked about percentages, and as both are only physical it shows a somewhat slower legs on PS4 - which surprises me. Both are well established platforms with high install base, both should have high initial sales and sharp dropoffs. Legs are either word of mouth or new owners of the console getting the game. Also picking up the game on special occasions, like holidays. As both sell the same amount of new units and userbase is for both pretty much established, better legs must be better word of mouth. Or a statistical hiccup for one week. Who knows, we'll see.
