Pretty sure ps4 sold 1m in one day in the US alone.

Both points are true. The PS4 released first only in US, sold a million first week (which probably was one day). But second week were less than 100K, still only US, probably supply constrained. Third week was last week of November, sold nearly a million with the launch in europe (so including US sales of barely more than 100K and european sales of 700K).
