Games at some point start to sell more and more to the existing base. Who buys a Switch-game on the other hand must practically buy also the system at this point. So you can't simply look at the relation of game sales to system sales (except for systems in a similar point in their lifecycle).

The original post I quouted was basically "PS4 lacks games (thats why its back to 20k sales this week)"

PS4 has more games on the list, than the switch, and more game sales. Ontop of those games being real games, not 1,2-switch like ones. The point was just the "PS4 needs games" was a stupid comment.

Oh, ok. I agree, PS4 has plenty games at the moment. It might be entering the second half of it's lifecycle behind it's peak, but it is still far from the end and at this time in the lifecycle of consoles they get usually the most and most matured and innovative games. And looking at Nier and Horizon and whatnot, I think there is no reason to complain about games for a PS4-owner. I think it's fine and game-makers will have great sales to the existing base.
