Well I like systems and stats and shit. But I'm a strange customer. I agree that the mainstream does give shit about real RPG experience and understands RPG more of an action game with strong character that is getting stronger over time. A friend of mine has a saying about these sort of RPG: You attack only with your level. Even if other stats are involved, if they are bound strongly to levelups that is true in the end.
