Yeah, sure. Let's take a best-selling series to retirement, because YOU don't like it. Obviously a lot of people don't like it.
Actually I'm with you, I don't like Jump&Runs and therefore I don't like Mario. But is that reason enough to demand Mario-games should stop?
I did dislike GTA, Tomb Raider and Assassins Creed and think the money I put for these games were wasted (well, in the case of Tomb Raider it was PS Plus), but do I demand these series have to stop? Do I think I can't just ignore these games and enjoy other games like Borderlands, Thief, Demons Souls, Monster Hunter and so on?
What is the freaking problem some people have with Miyamoto and Mario? Just ignore them if you dislike them. Nobody forces you to buy Mario-games.
