Oh, that is a cool question to ask, as it will be pretty close. I looked, and Vita made 2,3 million in 2014 (down from more than 3 million in 2013). So if we assume it drops further... it will finally beat the first year of the 3DS. I think Vita will end at around 13-14 million. Maybe more if Sony brings no successor to the Vita but keeps on selling the device.
