Watching Hanayamata right now and its pretty good. Definitely some things that bug me, but overall I'm enjoying it, and it can be really pretty.

As for other horror anime, I'm not a huge fan of horror so I can't really suggest any. Maybe Mirai Nikki if that counts

While I thought the show was basically junk, that umbrella scene was wonderful
