Oh, it does make a big difference. There are people that are polarizing often. If you are tired with that, put them on ignore. That unstresses your nerves. It is not automatically easy to avoid threads from said user on your own and nearly impossible to ignore posts in other threads.
It works wonders for me on websites that have that feature.
