The N3DS support. Easy or hard?

Yes, that is correct, but the N3DS titles won't work on the regular 3DS. Nintendo will have to support 2 systems and half.

I can live with that. Plus I am thinking to get N3DS next year. Despite hating handheld gaming I am tempted to get one.

If you didn't have a 3DS so far, you will not stop playing once you get the N3DS. Kid Icarus Uprising, all the Atlus-games (I think it will be six with Persona Q at the time the N3DS hits west), Zelda OoT/MM/Link between Worlds, Dillons Rolling Western, Pullblox/Fallblox, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Bravely Default, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil Revelations (although that can be played on Home console too). You have a lot to do.
