Well for a WiiU game it does look good. Colorful, highly detailed, full of great animations and all of these is kept in 4 player split-screen. Thats nothing to scoff at 
I still don't know why they didn't add AA to it, but it was probably due to hardware limitations and it would have needed a couple of extra months for it to work properly. They need a heavy hitter before E3 to have something to boast about, and to push some hardware before the summer lull.
