True, but there is such a vast library of non-Nintendo games that deserve a top 10 spot on any list, that its a shame that he didnt play more. I actually have a feeling that many Nintendo fans have so many older games on their plates that they rarely try others outside their comfort zones.

I also know that its a subjective thing, so no harm intended with my comment. I only think that trying out as many games as possible is the only solution to trully taste what gaming is really about. And lets be honest its not just Nintendo, Sony or MS... its a combination of all of them and then some I for one adore PS games, as I grew up with them. I also love Nintendo games and MS games, either from their PC or Xbox library. My top 10 would be impossible to be made, because I know at least 50 games that would deserve a spot on that list . And yes, at least a half a dozen are made by Nintendo.

It's a bit presumptuous to say that I haven't played through *arbitrary number of games*. :/ It doesn't take much to see that my preferences are weighted towards a few specific genres that Nintendo excells in. Very possibly because I grew up with them, as my tastes line up with what was prevalent back in the 16-bit era. As for today, platforming is marginalized, action/adventure is unbearably diluted, and RPGs... the less said about them, the better. :P

Too bad... as somebody who has played games for over 2 decades now, I can see evolution in every one of the genres you have listed. But I guess it all boils down to taste.
