Well, what again was the reason for buying this port again and again on PSP? Ah yes, every of these 'ports' got new content. And everyone agrees this was that saved PSP in Japan.

Huh? First of all, this game didn't get released on the PSP AT ALL. Tri is exclusive to Nintendo consoles. PSP got more than just "ultimate editions" of Monster Hunter games, it got full on sequels. THAT is what saved the PSP.
|
So, MH3U includes the complete content of these "sequels", but still is a port while these "sequels" aren't. Good job VGKing, now my head is exploding.

What are you talking about? This Wii U game is basically a port of the Wii game. It just has additional content. It's not related to any of the PSP games.
By PSP games I'm talking the Monster Hunter Freedom 1, 2 and 3 as they're called in America. I haven't played them but as far as I know these are full on sequels.
Monster Hunter Tri was originally a Wii exclusive. Then it got ported to the 3DS, and now its coming to Wii U. It's a port. End of Story. If this was a completely new game, they could call something else.

MH Portable 3rd. And look at the OP if you want to know which PSP-games MH3U got content from.
