The gamepad is meant to be used with the touch pen, it works flawlessly.

Using the stylus for a minigame like the Yoshi one in Nintendoland makes perfect sense.

The idea that I'm supposed to pull out the stylus whenever I want to use the touchscreen in a game like Batman or ZombiU is just plain silly. If the touchscreen is meant only to be used with the stylus, it renders it useless as an input device for any game that uses thumbsticks and buttons. Which I suspect means the vast majority of Wii U games.

I use only my fingers in ZombiU, never the stylus, and it works well.

That said, I agree with most of your points. Obviously I have no radio enthusiast, so my experience with the reach of the gamepad is better. I can even use it on the balcony, that will be very cool in the summer. MIiverse was also a positive surprise for me. Wii-emulation was also a bad surprise for me. The Wii-mode feels completely separated. It is like you powering up your WiiU - and then the Wii inside the U. That's why I keep using my Wii for Wii-games. That works a lot better with DS-games on 3DS. And I dislike, that they made the Wiimote a secondary controller. Can you use the menu without a gamepad at all? I should try that.
