You haven't showed a shred of evidence to support your claims. A dollar spent on nintendo or "casual" game, is a dollar which can't be spent on the games I prefer. That is a fact and your assumptions do not dispute it.

You haven't shown evidence for your claim either, taht Nintendo takes away sales. And that casual-gaming takes away sales of epic games is probably something you don't belkieve yourself. As Sega was going down some Sega-gamers switched to other companies, but many left gaming for good. And they did not only bought Sega-games, they also bought games of 3rd-party. The industry was hurt as a whole. The same will happen if Nintendo or Sony or MS leaves gaming-business. So if you say NIntendo should go down you hate gaming. And this is a gaming-site, you are wrong here.

Yeah, how dare I use logic as evidence. That is unacceptable. I should have known that only conclusive evidence is a wishful thought of a nintendo fan. By the way, your analysis is flawed.

When Sega was still producing consoles,

207m consoles sold

When Sega was out,

240m consoles sold and counting

That is just for consoles, let's do the math for games.

6th gen: 2,18b games sold

7th gen: 2,21b games sold... and counting

Wait.. that was your only actual argument, which could be considered as a fact. You managed to fail the one try.

The industry was always growing. The growth Sony brought covered for Sega if you look at the whole gen. But hey, you claim bold stuff, that you cannot prove (you gave no single evidence for your claim that Nintendo takes away from the games you like). I claim other stuff and have no prove either. So I don't see a point in the discussion.
