Well, I don't care for the pirates. I can use the emulator to have a better experience with the games I bought. Yes I paid money. I do nothing wrong, if I use the emulator. And I don't see an argument of you, that makes me feel wrong, if I use one. Keep in mind, I don't pirate. So why should I feel wrong for using an emulator? Even if I skip the purchase of the console and play the games on emulator, there is nothing wrong about that.
I'm also not in charge for bringing profit to Nintendo. Sony and it's offerings also cost Nintendo sales, Nintendo could sell more and get more profit, if Sony wouldn't release a competing console. But that doesn't make it wrong for Sony to release a console. Same for emulator. If you own the old game, play it on emulator and Nintendo loses sales on Virtual Console, than is not the emulator or you wrong.
