1) They didn't say "no WiiU" but they said "PS3, 360 and PC". That should be enough to assume that it's not coming to WiiU.
2) That's exactly the thing though, Dark Souls isn't a huge seller to begin with. To be profitable on WiiU it would need to sell similar to the 360 version.
3) Frontloaded games are more important than games with mediocre starts and good legs. "as time goes on" means that games are getting cheaper eventually, which also means that it would net to sell even more, because the profit from each unit is much lower.
