just because your tv supports 480p does not mean it will display the Wii at 480p correctly.

I had both my DVD player and Wii hooked up at 480p, and the DVD player had no problems, yet the with the Wii, the whole thing looked to pixelated and the red pixels looked just horrible (and this was for any game i had). However, on my parents TV, which was comparable, you didn't see any of these problems whatsoever.

essentially, not all 480p signals are created equal, and sometimes TV's can't handle the slight differences.

However, I would consult Nintendo to see if its a known problem with your TV or the Wii, as I'm sure they've probably handled tons of calls about similar problems. (of course, tell them your using official cables even if your not as it doesn't make a difference, but they will say it does)




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
