Halo 4 warning flags preceding release

There is no denying that 2011 was a great year for game releases, but 2012 is looking even better if you take Skyrim out of the equation. The usual suspect will be there (the new Call of Duty) but there are some other titles coming that we have not seen a new version of in a few years, such as Max Payne 3, Mass Effect 3, GTA 5, Diablo III and Resident Evil 6. However, one of the biggest has to be Halo 4 but there’s no guarantee it will be the success like previous games from the series were.

There are already warning flags popping up preceding the release of Halo 4 and one of those is the fact that Bungie has surrendered all control, not only to the features of the game but also the score as well. Previous Halo games had the sexy sound of the sax andwe are told that this will be no more, which was evident in the trailer shown during E3.

There is no denying Halo has one of the best soundtracks from any game and knowing it has now been taken away will not sit well with many gamers, and when you consider that even the musical side of things will take a hit it does not bode well for other areas of Halo 4.

Should we see this as a warning flag or is it better to be practical because a new direction could be just what the franchise needs to inject some new life into it?There have been rumors suggesting that the engine could be built off some old code, but this has yet to be confirmed and could get the overhaul needed to make the game better than ever, although even an update to the current engine would be welcome as well.

All these fears will still do nothing to take the anticipation away from what will be the first title in a new trilogy, and again there are warning signs here as well. The reason is because fans will want to learn anything they can regarding the game and as a result could sign up to anything, if you are invited to signup to Halo 4 beta access via certain websites then you are advised not to do so because they will be fakes.

The reason why these sites will be fake is due to the fact Microsoft has not announced any details for an official beta. Sadly this advice has come too late for some gamers, as they have become victims by handing over personal information of themselves to undesirable individuals.

The easiest way to stop this from happening is by Microsoft making an announcement, as we already know they have an official Halo 4 beta URL. While we know there is much to look forward too in regards to 343 Industries upcoming game, we cannot help but worry about these warning flags.
