but yea.. I cant really see anybofy else..maybe KONAMI just becuase there funding tri-Ace 2 games and I cant see why they would say yes to tri and no to sakaguchi...maybe SEGA and Namco Bandai too just becuase they still show a interest in developing JRPG's. |
I think you made a bad assumption in this thread, because you might not notice the difference between Tri-Ace and Mistwalker. Mistwalker needs another development group to make a game, while Tri-Ace is efficient on their own. Also I think if Nintendo did not pick up Mistwalker game, and Monolith Soft, both organizations would have been merged with another development team, or completely gone. My evidence is what was happening to Monolith Soft until Nintendo really started funding projects (Baten Kaitos). Another supporting argument is that if Mistwalker could recieve funding from different organizations we would not see The Last Story, instead we would have actually seen Cry-On (which I was so hyped for).
Also Konami isn't willing to invest in Suikoden 6, what makes you sure that they would be willing to invest in Mistwalker. Also SEGA and Namco Bandia, are really annoying at localization as well (Yakuza franchise just got lucky and looks like 7th Dragon and VC3 will not being coming over). However I do agree Nintendo of America are jerks, but Nintendo as a company most likely saved these two groups.
Also my original response was much better, but this site died, and now it is basically smaller version of what I wanted to say, and it is all over the place.
