I agree with the latter, seen side-by-side 3D movies and the image looked fine. Don't have a clue how the streaming works here or how much power is needed to show all these independent screens. Assume they take the 1080p screen realstate and split it, then each controller gets the feed and zooms to their appropiate section:
- For two controllers, one half goes for the TV and the other half is divided between the two controllers.
- The four controller setup can simple be divided into four, with nothing on the TV.
For my needs, I like the two controller setup the best, but I can see why someone might like the other.
