Nintendo is live streaming Mr. Iwata's keynote address. No WAY would they be doing that unless he has something fairly important to say. Of course it may not be a new console or anything like that, but something will be unveiled. 

Last major event before 3DS is out, so I guess they will focus as much as they can on 3DS. It's a good venue for Nintendo and even more now if they live stream. Gonna be hard for Nintendo to convince people of buying a 3DS only for the 3D since it's impossible to see the effect unless you are in front of the console. Word of mouth and experiences will have to be positive, otherwise I cannot see the console being able to sell due to the 3D. Games on the other hand have to do the trick. Since people won't see 3D in the TV, magazines or the web, the draw will obviously not be the 3D in the ads.
