Last year, the PS3 fans and zealots (mostly the zealots) were talking PS3 shortages through freakin' June!  JUNE!!!  Now some 360 fans and zealots and even just some regular folks are mentioning the shortages just a couple weeks after that tweet and now others are saying they're sick of it already AND even more are saying that they are bogus.

Got an example of that?  Now I warned Carl in the past saying stuff like that cause these blanket statements really add nothing to discussions and it could be a flat out falsification without some proof.

That's just in THIS thread.  Do you really want/expect me to go hunt down every case of it in all the forums that cumulatively led to my impassioned plea?

Are the shortages real?  If we are going to be accepting of the PS3 shortages last year due to the large holiday sales of the PS3 Slim in 2009, we should be just as accepting of the 360's for this year due to larger than expected sales during holiday 2010.

Those are just two of many articles I found about this doing the simplest of Google searches.  Yet people walk in a store, see 360's and suddenly the shortages are doubted???  REALLY???

Yeah, its aggravating when people cherry pick the story's they want to believe based on console affiliation and when the burden of proof is put on those that actually have supporting evidence that won't be accepted anyway makes it even more aggravating.

I didn't ask for links about users talking about 360 shortages, I was asking for the PS3 users claiming there were PS3 shortages in June of last year... otherwise I'm lead to assume you're just making it up, it doesn't add anything to discussion, I told Carl that, and it's not fair to him if he's the only one that needs to respect the content rule. 

And thank you for actually providing some proof from a more credible source than twitter, I'm going to follow through and read up on it, the only thing is like other posters brought up multiple sources claims shortages when Wii was out and when PS3 was out, from stores to the companies themselves, the story you provided me said they had to cut their outgoing shipments for Jan and Feb, but it doesn't mean that limited supply isn't meeting the post holiday demand. 

It's like thats the first step to showing they're selling out, second step is some retailers saying they can't keep the system in stock, but from the sound of it that might only be an issue in other countries.  It's like this when Nintendo and retailers said the Wii was sold out, it was sold out in many stores in my area as well, when it happened with PS3 it happened here as well but not to the level of Wii of course and sales reflected that, and now there's sparse words from MS saying supply is limited, but retailers aren't reporting sell outs and I can easily find a 360 anywhere in my area, so what would you have me believe, a couple of people online or what the evidence has lead me to believe?  Supply isn't as much as they wanted out there but retailers aren't reporting sellouts.
