Movies on GBA?

How the hell would that work?

Not very well.

They basically took episodes of various TV shows, compressed the hell out of them, and slapped them on a GBA cartridge.

I didn't even know that was possible on a machine as weak as the GBA :O

You can't be serious. The GBA was and is more powerful than a standard definition television. The only thing it lacks is the resolution. Besides television shows are 2d therefore even with compression very little detail is lost.

Basically, all a portable needs is a TV tuner to display television shows.

when I think about it, FMV was used on the Megadrive (And GBA is supposed to be triple the power of SNES and MD) And there was the Mega CD that could handle film.

But still, how could a 16-bit soundchip handle the sound. GBA sound is really scratchy, even compared to Megadrive sound sometimes.

I LOVE ICELAND!
