What are the sales Year to date? If you check those numbers you posted, the DS seems to have peaked on its 3rd and 4th years.
5th year is already down 10 million, and this year the only big games for the DS have been DQIX and Tomodatchi, with Pokemon coming out today. Overall numbers will be down from last year, as there isn't anything that big after Pokemon in 2009.

16 million games sold so far, 10 more to go and nothing very big save for Pokemon and maybe Prof Layton and Zelda. Not enough to go over last years numbers.
