Only the two unlockable bonus games Assignment Ada and Mercenaries (plus the two weapons you can unlock in these modes) are missing in the german version. The rest of the game is identical.

And this additional stuff is included in the Wii and the PS2-version (I actually play Assignement Ada on the Wii, a friend of me played Mercenaries on his PS2). As I read was the Gameceube-version of the game already USK-rated as the additional stuff was added. To avoid re-rating Capcom decided not to include it.

I thought these two bonus games were missing in the german PS2 and Wii versions as well...

Maybe you and your friend played imported games, are you sure there is an USK rating on the respective boxes?

Btw, I own the GC version of RE4 with USK rating and both bonus games included. The first batch of copies had the USK sticker still on it.

 

Hmm, I not really sure about the version my friend own, as you bring it up. But my Wii-version I got from a shop here in Potsdam, it has the red USK-logo on it and I play Assignement Ada. As I didnt beat it yet (I'm not the fastest gamer and I do not always has time to play) I cannot say if mercenaries is included.
