There is a typo, it says that 3DS furthered its lead in Jan but later on say Switch closed the gap in Jan.

Whoops you are right about the typo. Thank you.

Honestly, it could be its own thread. Interesting sections for me :

Due to the ageing console cycle, sales of games machines are down 15.8% in January compared to the same period a year before, with revenue down 13.1%. The only console to sell better in January 2020 vs 2019 was Nintendo Switch (up more than 17%). Switch accounted for almost 52% of all consoles sold across the retail markets, with the Neon version the most popular individual product.

50% of all tracked games sold last month were on PS4, followed by PC (18.8%), then Switch (16.3%) and finally Xbox One (11.9%). Again, Switch's position may well have been higher if Nintendo supplied its digital data. In terms of boxed games alone, PS4 still comes out top with a 47.3% share, Switch is second with a 32.9% share, with Xbox following at 25.1%. It's worth noting that Game Pass data (the subscription service that is popular on Xbox) isn't included in these figures.

Right now we have Switch worldwide up 16.4% in 2020 through February 22. Switch was down slightly in the US in January, but was up in Japan and as this report says in all of EMEAA.

360 storming ahead of both PS4 and Xbone as the Kinect boost takes effect. It might be a long time before any system outsells 360's total in the US.

Kinect did wonders to help increase the lifespan of the Xbox 360. I wouldn't be surprised if it added 10-20 million to the lifetime sales of the 360.

Switch during 2025.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

That would be awesome. Hopefully its peak is merely delayed by this year's unfortunate shitfuckery instead of suppressed.
