Seriously, though, that SUCKS! Try calling Nintendo and say it just stopped in the middle of a game?

 well when i was gonna challenge my cousikn in SSBB,he stepped on the gc controller wire and it dropped the wii

 Wii-tirement time for your console...

If it's something minor like the laser was knocked out of adjustment you could try opening it up and fixing it - I did that with my PS2 when it quit reading discs and it solved the problem. You also might be able to return it as a failed unit as long as there's no obvious sign of the console being dropped, or have it repaired under warranty.  I don't know what Nintendo's repair policies are, but nearly every other warranty for electronics will not repair items that were dropped or given an accidental bath in a puddle.
