NSMB2 is releasing on Saturday, whereas NSMB DS and NSMB Wii both released on Thursday. So 2 days vs 4 days for previous entries. Plus, as of now, we have no idea how digital sales will go, but they will certainly replace some portion of retail as well.

6 days before release:

NSMB DS : 316 pt (+27)
NSMB Wii : 538 pt (+73)
SM3D Land: 169 pt (+16)

NSMB 2 : 219 pt (+19)

It's sure; gonna beat 3D Land without even considering the digital sales.

Btw I heard they're giving extra nintendo points in Japan for whoever downloads it digitally. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/20/new-super-mario-bros-2-download-nets-twice-the-nintendo-club-co/

DQX is at around 235 points, and it's a safe bet that it's gonna be at 300 points by its last day.. not bad for an MMO!

Anyway, nice improvment for Mario... with the 1 million shipment + digital + new console... we may be looking at an even bigger game than most thought it would be.

NSMB :')

5 days before release:
NSMB DS: 343 pt (+26)
NSMB Wii: 618 pt (+80)
SM3D Land: 182 pt (+29) (Ended with 262 pt)

NSMB 2: 264 pt (+45!!)

NSMB 2 has passed SM3D Land's final tally with 5 days to go!! Big increase! Still hope, still hope!

And DQX at 250 pt is big! With 11 days left, that's big! Nintendo has first 2 spots!

The bad thing is that Mario will have only 2 days of tracking, so that will damper it's first week numbers by a lot!
But this is one of those cases, worse first week, but better second week!
