I know not expect much from the storyline, but is the gameplay good enough to make up for it (kinda like the Dark Cloud series)?

Could you please let me know how good Ar Tonelico 3 is? I'm extremely interested in that game, but haven't really gotten enough info or really seen much gameplay on it to know how good it is.

I did die once tho, got a little over confident in the desert. I had just finish fighting 3 large golems and a swarm of smaller enemies, decimated all of them with the Knight, then I ran into the 3headed dog with no Action Chips and low health......RAPE :(

OMG the City of Greede is fucking EPIC!!! i reminds of bayonttea and one other game... valkyria i think, amazing!

Character customization was kind of poorly done. Okay so first you're given the option to customize your facial features like the width of your cheeks, chins, length of face, etc. After that, you can choose what nose, eyes, mouth type you want. When you choose them, the size of your face you just edited changes. So you have to back to the previous page and edit it again. Hair options was kind of lacking for females.

To my next point, I don't know why I had to create an avatar. She doesn't play a part in the story, and she's mostly ignored by the characters (they only say hi to her and that's it). It's nice to create one, but it's dumb. She also doesn't have any dialogue options, but at least it's better than having retarded ones like the ones in Digital Devil Saga.

Story so far isn't bad by any means, but it's completely boring. It's a simple story, but the way its presented is awful. Lifeless, uninspired dialogue all around.

Combat is too early to tell, but I find it slow and boring.

For the goods, graphics are really nice, and the water...wow!!
