NSMBWii NA : 3 millions

Last week sales :

NSMBWii : 590k

MW2 360 : 447k

 

No way NSMBWii will pass MW2 before end of january...

The funny thing about this bet is that it is irrelevant. NSMB Will go on to outsell both Versions combined when its all said and done.



Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:


If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

already knew it wasn't gonna happen when he said it, problem is dumb ass publishers pushing their releases well into the next year leaving the market completely open to MW2 and for those who care, AC2, resulting in MW2 selling a ton and publishers fucking themselves from jan-march next year(too many AAA in a dry out season after christmas and new year) and now capcom is also delaying all their games again to push the titles even further back behind march, 3rd party publishers are retarded assholes.

Its been available here for quite some time but hasn't exactly been tearing it up sales wise. In fact, besides a couple of online retailers, it hasn't even been outsold despite the very limited number in stock. The color of a home console (handhelds are much more prone to moving quicker out of the shelf with more color variety though) is not that big of a deal and to suggest that it'll help move over a million Wii's a week for several weeks outside of the holidays simply because of America is... strange at best. It will also cost slightly more (it does here anyway), which doesn't exactly help either, especially this shortly after a price cut. Who wants to go backwards and pay more?

PS: Why is everyone so obsessed with this bet anyway? This grade of defensive behaviour is rare even in here.

The original bet was that NSMBW would outsell MW2 on "a single platform" and then when asked if it would outsell the 360 copy he says "I do believe so."

So you can take that how you want. That is a direct quote from the video.
