Forums - Sales Discussion - Natal will put 360 on top for the rest of the generation

Since when has a peripheral ever sold a system? That's like saying the Playstation eye w/ wand would put PS3 over the Wii for the rest of the generation. The 360 is running out of juice, Natal has come too late. PS3 is stealing it's thunder... I honestly wouldn't care how good of a camera it was, it's going to take more than that to get me to buy a system.

i seriously doubt natal or the ps3 stick are going to sell systems. they will sell themselves, sure, but they wont be deciding factors behind buying the consoles. they will most likely be bought by people that already have the system.

Unless gaming without a control is the next big thing, I don't see Natal being that much of a difference maker at all.

I agree.

And I believe the 360 bundled with NATAL will have a diferent more sleek look, integrated wi-fi, and bigger HHD.

Natal will truly be a hit, specially since will eventually be supported for WINDOWS PCs and xbox sucessor.

This coming from someone that LOVES the PS3 and think the Ps3 is the best console this generation hands-down.

Again,

x360 + Natal = GC + Wii motes

x360 will be 5 years on the market by the end of 2010.
It`s time for new xbox console, but Microsoft decided to release Natal.
Natal will be bundled for 249$ or 299$ by the end of 2010.

Natal will be compatible with xbox 720, which will be released in 2012 like PS4.
If Natal fails, x720 probably will come in 2011.

Natal will become a must buy peripheral for many games starting 2011.
I won`t be suprised, if Natal will be released bundled with Halo Reach at 99$ and playable with only Natal. But this probably unlikely, though there is still a chance for that.
I mean, 10M Natal buyers. Especially, if Natal upgrades graphics.

No chance in hell, it be like PD making GT5 with only waggle controls.

MS would be literally crucified by halo fanboys.

i don't rlly care who's on top, as long as casual games don't become the norm. for that reason i hope natal fails

If I wanted motion control I would have gotten a Wii a long time ago.

I don't think so, because talking with a few developers, I have one in the family that works for Lucas Arts, He did Force Unleashed and he is Working on Force Unleashed 2 , Natal will only be fun for certain games. Shooters Adventures and many other types of games will not really be used for. I think it will be a plus for them, but it wont move tuns of consoles alone. I am not personally a big fan of the wii, but the new wonds or what ever you want to call them that the ps3 and i believe ms has a version will be more fun . A wii like remote with ps3 and 360 gameplay and graphics will be cool. I guess we all will see.

Natal will flop and so will Sony wands.

That's my brave prediction.

This. 100this's. Anyone who says otherwise is dreaming. What do the hardcore gamers buy? 360/PS3. What do the casual gamers buy: Wii. Unless MS or Sony are hiding some pretty big secret games for E3 2010 to go with this new technology neither one will be gaining much attention if any.

Only people who browse the internet for information about games and consoles and whatever even care about this. I can promise you none of my friends even know about Natal or the Wand. And yes they ALL own consoles.

Somebody should tell them. Poor Microsoft. They spent millions of dollars buying 3DV. Maybe just maybe they will see these super insightful posts on a forum from people that obviously know the market better than Microsoft and Sony

LOL!  THIS!

Natal has been on Morning News Shows, late night shows, and on demo at lots of events.  Trust me, even a lot of casuals have heard about Natal and will keep hearing more as we get closer to release.
