Considering how many awesome consoles have been released by the big three, and how these two managed to beat them all, both the Snes and the PS1 are winners. I'm still glad the Snes won overall, though.

SNES (but its a close call)

* Highest number of great memories for me
* A games library that rivals the mighty PS2 (in quality)
* SMW and ALttP would be "desert island" games for me.
