All they have done is remodeling the same plataform many times, with DS lite, DSi and now with DSi XL. It's getting a little bit annoying already. When will nintendo release DS true sucessor, with much more powerful hardware or they will continue milking DS forever?

2011-13 depending on how strong DS sales remain. As long as Ninty can sell 15 million in a single financial year I doubt they'll replace it. DS is still doing 30 million so it has a long way to go.

I'll say 2011. Its far enough, and the system could use a hardware upgrade, by that moment it will be very cheap and it could have the graphics of a PS2, in both screens.

Ps2 graphics? If it launches in 2012 probably will have better than Wii graphics at a low price (170$?).

My guess is 2011, and IMO will be more powerful than we thought.

I don't understand the hate at Nintendo releasing hardware redesigns.

OT: The slides coming from Nintendo indicates that software sales are continuing to increase and this basically means that the DS is still a viable platform for growth. So in essence it all depends on when software sales begin to decline. I can see hardware sales beginning to decline next year (if it doesn't this year) so we'll see.

Gameboy lasted for 12 years before the GBA was released. This is counting the GB and the Colour as the same system.

So, considering the success of the DS, 2018. I'm not joking.
