2 wands..

each with an analogue.

No nunchuck...

2 full wands. If they did that it'd be perfect :p

The investment would likely be too large. 2 wands for single player games? We're talking $60-80 easily. 4 wands for a two player game? 8 wands for a four player game? No, as cool as it would be, I don't think it's a realistic solution, although it might work for a few select titles.

A wii mote and a nunchuck is practically the price of two dualshock 3s. If people have no problems buying that they should have no problems buying two wands.

How do you figure? The low end retail on a DS3 is $39.99(priced at newegg) and the high end(MSRP) you find at most places is $54.99(priced at Target and SonyStyle). The Wiimote + Nunchuck combo is $60. That's not practically the price of two DS3s, no matter how you cut it. If they price the Wand at the same price as the DS3, which seems plausible considering it'll be more expensive to make, it would cost in many stores $110 to buy two wands for a single player game. The approach is not feasible based on any realistic pricing model. Let's move on.

motion controls is gay, they shouldnt waste money on that unless they can truely make everything interactive and make is so that it can move everywhere...if not then whats the point...it would just be a hd wii

It's hard to gather a price on Wii Motion + since it's packaged for free in Wii Sports Resort, for an extra $10 in Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and is $20 standalone. It's impossible to pass up one of the better deals since those are the only reasons to buy the motion + in the first place right now. Even then, a $110 price tag on 2 wands would outweigh an $80 price tag on a Wiimote, motion + and nunchuck combo.

no i think not. Pachter is wrong about this and many other things

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

well.....maybe.

Pachy Pach Pach, what the hell is wrong with you?

This is so dissapointing, it really is.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

It's like saying that a new HD Wii bundled with the classic controller pro would be the same as a PS3.. It wouldn't because the market for PS3 games aren't on Wii, that market is on the PS3.

I wish you guys would care enough to read my other post at this very page.

Answer to c0rd :

No the Wiimote + Nunchuck costs 800kr a dualshock 3 costs between 400 and 550kr depending on where you get it.

A wii mote is 450-550kr and a nunchuck is 229-300kr.

I dunno about pricing in other countries but that's what it's like here.
