FIFA 10 perfects the formula laid down when the series made its debut on the current generation and the end result is a game that’s one of the most refined, polished and compelling takes on the beautiful game – and arguably of any given sport. While this year’s improvements might seem slight on paper, each one is perfectly pitched and works together to create an experience that’s an improvement on last year’s game in every conceivable way; the on-pitch action is superlative, its matches playing out with an authenticity that’s unprecedented, while the numerous modes present near-countless ways to engage with the action. The only question is where EA can take the series next? Improving on this is going to be one hell of a task.

8.5	Presentation It's got the typical EA shine, though it can sometimes leave the player feeling a little distanced from the action.

I seriously don't understand how they can give it a 9.5 for Gameplay. I've played the demo and its average at best. Certainly not the most realistic football game, like they suggest. The annoying thing is, I know they are going to give PES 2010 an 8 at best :/

I was planning on dling the PC demo but everyone said it was disastrous. I haven't tried the PES demo either, though

You can't judge the depth or full gameplay experience of a game after playing a demo.

So true. If people judge Batman Arkham Asylum from the demo they'd think it was mindless

Actually, you can perfectly on a football game (though, I admit I haven't played the Fifa10 demo), since the engine is the same, the only thing it lacks is teams. So, unless EA/Konami do last-minute changes, what you play in the demo reflects the gameplay of the full game. Of course, you can't judge things like managerial modes and customizability, but that's another subject

didn't try Fifa, but I didn't like this years (and last years) PES PS3 demo .. I think the Wii version might be superior and hope we'll get the pointing system aswell (with the wand) in the next PS3 iteration (it just frustrates the hell out of me, that the players don't pass the ball like I want them to)

Its a review...if you didn't like the gameplay, don't play the game. This is a perfect example of how you shouldn't let review sites influence your tastes and instincts.
