Well, my reply to that article is "so what?" as well. Average graphics didn't stop Resistance 1 and 2 from selling, and KZ2, for all it's graphics, is just a pretty standard, run of the mill FPS.
Besides, the graphics do look a bit different because of the different art direction, the vision modes, etc.
It's Halo, it will sell regardless of Metacritic score or whatever.
halo is about the gameplay. i predict meta of 89 - 90

I agree with you on Killzone 2 though
Looks like a review based on screenshots and a video to be honest, hence no discussion on gameplay elements. Not really worth discusing to be honest, congrats to the OP for the cheap dollars.

I traded FEAR, Rockband 1 and Halo 3 for it at EB games for the whole buy 3 get 1 free. I have 2 copies of halo 3 for MP and ith ODSt having all MP maps...it made sense.

Aren't the graphics in Halo toned down because the game supports 4-player split screen? Are there any other shooters this generation that boast that feature?

The resolution is sub 720p because Halo 3 engine uses HDR lighting which really looks awesome in ODST. (Already looked awesome in Halo 3)
Game probably deserves around 85, but then again, Halo deserved 90 on its netplay alone.. everything else was barely a 70.
And graphics do matter.
