Forums - Nintendo Discussion - It seems the "epic Mickey" title is for Wii.

niCESsss!!!! Another Wii game for people to wish it was on another system! lol

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

The people who are producing this game mustve one day been like

"hey what would happen if we make mickey mouse as scary as possible"

"LETS DO IT"

They wouldn't use the engine for KH3. For KH3 they'd probably use the White Engine (the engine FF XIII/Versus is running on). It's been already ported to Wii, and they haven't used it at all...

Anyway, so much for "KH is too hardcore for Wii" - look what they're bringing :P

This game actually looks awesome. If the final game is similar to the concept and it's long enough I'll get it. Can't believe I'd say that for a Western game.

Whoever said that needs to be taken out back.

Believe me, that statements been said waaay too many times...

Also, Killer, I'm glad you didn't post something like that on GAF. 27 people were banned in the thread about the the concept art for this game for saying similar things

That's odd. If anything I've heard the opposite. It should go on Wii because the more kid-friendly Disney audience is on the platform versus PS3/360.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

This is so rad! I can hardly wait for this to be finished just to find out what the bloody hell happened to the Disney universe!!!

The Micky game for the SNES was pretty Epic

'Epic' is not really a word I associate with the Wii. Thus I think it would do better on a more serious and epic machine. And while I do not expect any game to live up to its concept art, putting it on a higher end machine would most likely produce superior results for a game with that type of graphics. And really, that was some of the best concept art I've seen in a long time. It deserves... I don't know. Awesomeness.

"serious and epic machine"? How can a machine be "epic"? Unless it's a real Transformer. Or a real X-Wing.

Seriously, I can't take this post seriously...

OT:

I hope the in-game art will make the concept art justice. I need game footage! Puh-lease.

Serious and epic, that's what games on the PS360 are, for most part. So I define them not only as HD, but as serious and epic. Prime examples would be God of War, Killzone, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Mass Effect, Halo etc. The only big serious and epic game I can think of for Wii is Zelda.

It seems I cannot express myself lately without people misunderstanding me. I shall endevour to be more clear about what I mean.

Granted the wii has zelda but it also has metroid, the new metroid that is coming out, the flagship tales series, dragon quest, the crystal bearers, monster hunter tri and now this as well.

I was unaware that a system had to have a threshold number of epic games to be able to have another epic game. If this was the case the first console in the market would be only console allowed such titles, which seems a bit silly no?

Endure. In enduring, grow strong.

Oh we all understood you, we just think what you're saying is utterly ridiculous.

Finally a new franchise of videogames.

In my opinion this probably would be a complete success.

The only Mickey game I played and absolutely loved was "The Magical Quest: Starring Mickey". It was fantastic. It's a SNES game made by Capcom USA.

The game was also dark and kind of wicked, since it was all happening inside Mickey's head while he was dreaming. You had multiple costumes you could use and a magic meter that needed to be recharged in order to use some of the abilities the costumes offered. You had ordinary Mickey, Magician Mickey, Firefighter Mickey and Climber Mickey. Fabulous game, and these art pieces remind me a lot about it. Hopefully it will get released, I will be a very happy person if it happens.

That game was so freakin' hot. I loved the hell out of that game when I was younger.

This actually looks very interesting, and the art looks fantastic. I'd keep an eye on it.

HELL YES. I still have it. Fantastic game.
