This is a serious question, the big 4 Sony Hyped Franchises like Killzone, Uncharted, and God of War will all be out in 2009; in the case of GOW, Spring 2010.

If the rumored GT5 does indeed comes out in Fall 2009, then what will Sony have left as Big AAA exclusives to battle protential big named heavywights such a:

Halo Reach, GeOW3, Mario Galaxy 2, and a protential new Zelda in Fall of 2010?

In the past Sony have huge 3rd party franchises like Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, and a GTA to fall back on as AAA exclusives, but that is no longer the case.

Also, protential Fall 2010 sequels such as LBP, Resistance, and even ICO's Last Guardian won't have the same inpact or starpower as a Gran Turismo or a GOW.

Also factoring the hyped of Natal and the price advantages of the competitions in this tough economy, Sony might be heading for a rough Holiday in 2010 without 1 or 2 well know exclusive franchises to get the attention of the media and gamers.

So, is there any protential game(s) for the PS3 that might be overlooked as protential huge AAA exclusives for Fall 2010?

How do you manage to find a doom scenario for Sony regardless of the time of year? It's an amazing skill.

This is not a doom article, it is a legit question. As a owner of all three consoles, I need to know stuff like this so I can sleep better at night.

Well Microsoft looked like they'd have nothing for this year, and now they have a great lineup. Sony may offer Resistance 3, LittleBigPlanet 2, another SOCOM, another Ratchet, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm not a big follower of first party games, so I'm sure other people could do a better job. Combine that with possible third party games (Call of Duty 7, Final Fantasy 13 and/or Vs, etc), and they'll do fine.

Why are we talking about Fall 2010 in Summer 2009? SO many things can and will happen between now and then that it is really not worth talking about.

Resistance 3?
Perhaps a new Killzone?
Twisted Metal?

Who knows at this point.

I have a question though, what was Sony's 'big' game for fall 2008? Caused all they release was R2, Littlebigplanet and Motorstorm2.... of which you've named everyone as a potential 'sequal' for 2010 and claim they are not good enough.

Ask me Summer 2010 and I might feel nice enough to give you an answer....
