After looking at the trends of other games and "extrapolating" several figures for more than an hour, I came up with this:

Worldwide (NA + EU)
Week 1 - 100 + 27 = 127k
Week 2 - 48 + 19 = 67k
Week 3 - 30 + 16= 46k
Week 4 - 19 + 14 = 33k
Week 5 - 15 + 11 = 26k

Total: 299k after 5 weeks. Another 10 weeks later, it will be close to 500k, if not past it. It will be a success depending on if you think 500k is a good number. May be at 700k by the end of the year.

I think it will reach 300k (just predicting American sales) by the end of August.

The holidays will give it a boost to 500k and it'll sort of taper out. I don't know if it can reach a million, but if it could that would be really sick.

anytime you make a thread about a single prediction you're asking for the punishment. With that said at least you admit it. There are some people that go out of their way to make threads with bad predictions then don't come back.

The now infamous John Williams "Wii will sell 60 million by the end of 2008" comes to mind.

Surprisingly, nobody seemed to dig that one up when it turned out to be about 15 million short, making it the least accurate prediction on VGC for annual Wii sales.

Yeah but he was kind of a joke, i mean everyone knew his predictions were always gonna be out there.  He knew how to make predictions and be entertaining without being an arrogant ass.  There are certain people on here that don't know how to do that.

It was a bit tongue in cheek, but I think he actually believed there was a chance and I fully expected him to make a lengthy post about it as well as another prediction for 2009 had it been a lot closer to the actual number.
