uhhh...I just logged in and it didn't tell me to update...whats up with that?

Downloaded and installed it a few hours ago. I didn't take the time to check for any changes. I have seen comments that said the trophy collections load faster.

     Oh apparently its not mandatory, I went to system update and it said 2.80 was ready

I know they're probably useful, but I hate these kinds of updates - I wish they could be silent if this small.

I just end up wondering what I've gained. I watch a DVD - was that better or worse? I watch a video clip from my videocamera - was that better or worse?

Damn the uncertainty of these kinds of updates.

Wait for 3.0, probably coming out Oct/Nov :P.

This should really be 2.77. With a 0.1 update, I expect something MAJOR. Something like trophies, or in-game XMB, or even a photo gallery that nobody likes or uses.

thanks for the heads up. i would like to see the option for disabling those annoying anouncements that at some points the game saves to the HD and i should not switch off the console.

i have the damn thing a while i know it by now!
and some games wait for a button click before continueing to load　:(

I'd like a PS3 backup system where I can choose what I'd like saved: all or selected installs/games, Saved games, Music, Photos, Videos or everything.
Backing up the whole bunch every week when not much fundamental has changed can prove a lengthy chore.
